Give back this Canada Day with Molson Canadian Red Leaf Project and attend a special concert at Cowboys!
The grass just got greener: Molson Canadian Red Leaf Project builds an inner-city park for Canada Day #REDLEAFPROJECT
On July 2, Calgarians will come together to celebrate Canada Day and create a pocket park in the Beltline community of Victoria Park. In return for their hard work, volunteers will be rewarded with tickets to a celebration party and a special concert at Cowboys the next day.
“What better way to mark Canada Day long weekend than making our land even more awesome,” says Andrew Stordeur, Director of Sales Molson Coors Canada. “We’re hoping that we can rally as many community members as possible to make their backyard even better before we kick off Calgary’s biggest celebration this summer.”
To help organize the project, Molson Canadian has partnered with Victoria Park and Cowboys.
“This is the perfect way to recognize Canada Day by taking a once vacant an inactive space and making it open and engaging to the public,” says Executive Director Victoria Park, David Low. “Temporarily using private land to enhance the community is a very special opportunity and we see this as a real example of leading edge public/private partnerships for community benefit.”
Volunteers are asked to sign up for one of the two start times for the park project at: Morning: http://cowboysconcert001.eventbrite.com/
Afternoon: http://cowboysconcert002.eventbrite.com/

About the Molson Canadian Red Leaf Project:
The Molson Canadian Red Leaf Project is an initiative designed to positively impact the Canadian environment in communities from coast-to-coast. From May 26, 2012 to September 15, 2012, 100 volunteer-based community park projects will take place in towns and cities across Canada. To thank community members for getting their hands dirty mulching and cleaning their local green spaces,
Molson Canadian will give away local concert tickets to all volunteers. Volunteers can register at Facebook.com/MolsonCanadian.
Canadians can also support the Red Leaf Project through a PIN program at retail. With the purchase of a specially marked case of Molson Canadian, consumers will receive a PIN code. Enter the code at www.MolsonCanadian.ca for a chance to win concert tickets, and Molson Canadian will also make a donation to a park project on your behalf. The PIN code is printed on a seed-infused coaster that can be planted to grow a tree in your community.
